Get answers to common questions about glaucoma, cataracts, and personalized care.

General

What is your approach to personalized care?

I take time to understand each patient’s lifestyle, vision goals, and priorities. Together, we review the latest treatment options to create a care plan that fits you best.

What do you find most rewarding about being an eye doctor?

Helping restore and preserve sight is incredibly meaningful. It's fulfilling to make a lasting impact on my patients’ daily lives and long-term independence.

Glaucoma

What is glaucoma?

A disease that damages the optic nerve, often due to high eye pressure. It develops slowly without early symptoms and can cause irreversible vision loss if not caught early.

What advice would you give to someone newly diagnosed?

Stay calm and consistent with treatment. Ask questions and involve your family. With proper care, we can manage glaucoma and protect your vision.

What treatments are available?

Options include eye drops, lasers like SLT, MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries), and traditional procedures, depending on the severity and type of glaucoma.

What surgery options are there?

SLT lasers, MIGS, and traditional surgeries like trabeculectomy or tube shunts—all tailored to your condition and goals.

Cataracts

What are cataracts?

A clouding of the natural lens in the eye that causes blurry vision. They develop with age but can also be triggered by trauma, diabetes, or certain medications.

What are the early symptoms?

Blurry or dim vision, glare at night, halos around lights, and faded colors are common early signs.

How is cataract surgery performed?

The cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens. It’s safe, quick (10–15 mins), and highly successful.

What are the latest technologies used?

Laser-assisted surgery, advanced IOLs (toric, multifocal, extended depth of focus), and Light Adjustable Lenses for post-op fine-tuning.

What is a Light Adjustable Lens?

A unique lens that can be adjusted after surgery using UV light to fine-tune your vision. It offers unmatched customization.
